Rioting Breaks Out In Egypt After A Judge Hands Down Several Death Sentences.

Rioting broke out in Egypt, after a judge sentences several dozen Egyptians to death as a result of 74 fans being killed after a soccer game in Cairo in February 2012. Opposers to the sentence, angry relatives, & residents, began to riot in a near by port town after the sentence was announced. Since then 27 have been reportedly killed in Egypt as a result of the rioting. Most executions in Egypt are by hanging, and 21 Egyptians are already sensed to death. The remaining 52 defendants will be sentenced on March 9’Th, of which; some have been charged with murder and others have been charged with assisting attackers. At least two of those killed after the judgment was read out load on Egyptian TV, were police officers. There is sadness regarding the loss of those at the sporting event, and further tragedy, nearly one year later. Let’s all remember to pray for peace in the Middle East; and make every effort to be peaceful at all sporting events.
